Why don I have assurance?
(1Jn.5:11-13)
Introduction: When we see the believers who are honest, humble, and doing good deeds, voluntary work, we often think they are man of faith. However, it is not the essence of belief according to the Bible. People with great faith are the ones who know the gospel, Gods desire and have the answer of life from the gospel that tells Jesus is Christ and decide to raise up disciples and next generation for evangelism, mission, and world evangelization. We must believe the fact that Jesus is Christ and have a confidence based on Gods words. Many people are living without such confidence in their faith. Why do many christians have no confidence?
1.Because they do not know the life of the saved
(1)Salvation means the Holy Spirit of God with us(Ro.8:2)
1)Holy Spirit is with the one who believes in Jesus forever(Jn.14:16-18)
2)Holy Spirit guides the one who got salvation and works for him continuously(Ge.12:1-3)
(2)Holy Spirit guides every step of the one who got salvation and works for God
1)The moment the life of Jesus comes into us, darkness, curses, and satan are driven out forever
2)Then we will experience the blessing of indwelling, guidance, and working of the Holy Spirit(this is salvation)
3)Whoever has no life is under original sin and is destroyed by the problems of sins, curses, and disasters
4)Even though believers go to church but they do not know the answer that Jesus is Christ, they go through the same difficulties like unbelievers
2.Because they do not enjoy the blessings of the saved
(1)Problems caused by sins are solved(Heb.4:16)
(2)We are free from the world, hell, and satan(Eph.2:2-6)
(3)The evidence of God can be seen before us and in every situation
3.Because they do not know the privilege of the saved
(1)We must get the blessings of the rock and those of church(Mt.16:18)
(2)The power of Hades cannot harm the believers(Mt.16:18, Lk.10:19)
(3)God gave us the keys to the kingdom of heaven with which we can enjoy the blessings of heaven on this earth
4.Because they do not know the way of life of the saved
(1)The children of God with salvation have got the guidance of the Holy Spirit(Jn.14:26-27)
(2)Only Christ is in the center of every life(2Co.5:17)
(3)The priority of every life must be prayers(Ac.16:13)
(4)Every life must spread world evangelization and preach the gospel(Ac.1:8)
Conclusion: God called us to be truly well-grounded model based on the covenant. We must check the life of the saved, blessings, privileges, and the way of life so that we become witnesses to save the ones who do not have confidence or have wrong confidence by enjoying these blessings.
